Before Starting stand up comedy in 2011, James was a battle rapper with KOTD, one of the biggest battle rap leagues in the world, so he does not shy away form facing off with an audience or aggressive crowd, or from taking on the topics that a lot of other comedian do not want to touch.
Not only does James perform comedy coast to coast (as well as America he is a dual citizen ) he has been seen on YTV as the rapping sea captain, he worked for Much Music doing video dances for 6 years, he was part of the Trailer Park Boys and Randy's Cheese Burger Picnic comedy tour, he has performed stand up and sketch with Scott Thompson and other members of Kids In The Hall at Second City, performed a comedic play with Colin Mocharie (from whose line is it anyways) he has been part of numerous comedy festivals across Canada, Whitby, Guelph, Brantford, Sketch Fest Toronto, JFL Northwest, JFL Toronto, The Fat Kids Comedy Tour, The Saugeen Shores Comedy Tour, and spent time touring out west at many native reservations with Canadian comedy award winner Keith Nahanee. Performed at world famous Hillside festival, And got to perform stand up to over 40 000 people at Dundas Square, well James was featured in over 300 episodes of the Comedy Podcast called the Comedy Padcast, and co hosted the controversial radio show Sounds Of The Underground which was banned and taken off air by the CRTC for being to “offensive”.
