Fundraisers

Funny Business Inc. has successfully been performing at fundraiser for over 30 years. With our expertise we are able to put together the perfect show for your fundraiser along with guidelines as to how you can maximize your profits for a successful event. We have worked with fundraisers such as, Sick Kids, Legions, Firemen’s association and many sport teams to name a few.
TOP SIX CONSIDERATIONS TO HELP MAKE YOUR FUNDRAISER A COMPLETE SUCCESS.
1- Book your entertainment with Yuk Yuk’s… of course!
With over 100 comedians on our exclusive roster we are sure to be able to suit you budget and event.
2- Charge a cover
Charging a cover not only adds value to the show, but will also allow you to raise funds for your cause. You should try to sell the tickets in advance and promote as much as possible, we will provide you with Yuk Yuk’s posters, 8’X10’s and bio’s on the comedians to help you promote the show.
3- Liquor License and Bar
If at all possible it is best to have a licensed event. The proceeds from the bar will really help in meeting your targeted proceeds for your event. Sometimes this involves you having to apply for a liquor license, it may take a little more effort but will be well worth it. If you are having your event at a local pub, restaurant or hotel it doesn’t hurt to ask if they would be willing to donate a percentage of the bar proceeds, the worst they can say is no, but you may be pleasantly surprised.
4- Dinner and show
Make it a night out for everyone and with minimal cost to you. Depending on the meal you are offering, and if your venue is set up with the proper facilities, it doesn’t have to be a big cost to you. When you are offering a meal and a show, they will feel they are getting a full night out, at the same time as supporting a good cause.
5- 2 x show in one night!
What fun! You could have it all...do a dinner and show for the early crowd, and then have a late show for those who only want the comedy, or keep it simple and just do the two shows. Two shows in a night; double both your ticket sales and bar sales. Should you choose to do this, the second show would be a discounted price. Remember you will have to really be organized to pull this one off but our clubs do it every weekend so it can be done.
6- Raffle or Silent Auction
This is a great idea to add to the night’s proceeds, everyone likes to walk away with a little something extra. Often local business’ and companies are more than happy to donate some prizes for an auction or raffle. I suggest Silent Auction, this will involve some initial work leading up to the event, but is much less work on the actual night of the event.
