If you value these qualities, you'll enjoy my standup. I’m James Ball, and there’s a rumor going around that my act is so bright and twisted it’s like watching The Far Side reincarnated as a tall guy with a microphone.

A few Jamesfacts: I grew up in Victoria BC, and whenever I’m in town, I always drop by Swans Pub for a Hermann’s dark lager. I’ve lived other places too: Vancouver (wet), Edmonton (cold), and Osaka (where I'm a freakish giant).

My offstage bona fides include a masters degree in education, a copywriting career, and maestro-level origami skills. In 2009 I scored a coup when I was invited to perform at the Just For Laughs Homegrown Comic Competition. XM Satellite Radio was there to tape it, so I suppose you’ll hear my jokes on XM’s Laugh Attack from time to time.
