Andrea Jensen

Former teacher by day, comic by night Andrea has a full and creative life. Originally from St. Thomas, Ontario with deep family roots in the east coast, Andrea lives in the Nation's Capital. She has been performing for Yuk Yuks audiences since 1997. Andrea was voted one of Ottawa Life magazine's top ten performers/artists to watch, and was nominated as Canada's best new comedian for the Canadian Comedy Awards.



Her high energy, enthusiasm, and sense of bizarre in the mundane, make Andrea a hit for audiences of all kinds. Andrea's observations about the horrors of school life, as well as her outlook on pop culture and relationships, is sure to strike a universal chord. Andrea has toured across this great nation performing coast to coast in clubs, festivals, corporate events, as well as on television and radio. She appeared in the "Halifax Comedy Festival" which was produced for CBC Television, Women's Television Network's "She's So Funny", CBC Radio's "Madly Off in all Directions", and Moncton's "Hubcap Comedy Festival". Andrea has done commercials locally, and professional group improv theatre for 3 years. Her voracious appetite for stand-up comedy, improv, theatre, and life keep her a sharp-witted and dynamic presence.
