Pete Zedlacher

This award-winning comedian proudly hails from the booming metropolis of Wawa, Ontario.  Pete’s stand up comedy draws heavily on his working-class up bringing and also his acting background, having graduated from New York’s prestigious American Musical And Dramatic Academy.

Since writing and performing his own one-hour comedy special for CTV entitled “Comedy Now”, Pete has become a recognizable face on Canadian television, including appearances on TSN’s Off The Record, Much Music’s Video On Trial and The Comedy Network’s The Jon Dore Television Show. Pete’s recently filmed his 5th appearance at Montreal’s famed Just For Laughs Festival which airs on CBC.

Zedlacher has been called one of the best in Canadian comedy as evidenced by his winning the Canadian Comedy Award for Funniest Standup and recent Gemini Award nomination for "Best Individual Performance" for his Just For Laughs' gala.

He is also a television writer working on several Canadian television shows including The Hour With George Stroumbolopoulous, The Ron James Show and CBC's The Debaters on both radio and television.

But Pete is most proud of his performances for the Canadian troops serving overseas, having performed in Afghanistan in 2002 and again in 2008, as well as in Germany, the Arctic circle and the Persian Gulf.
