It's not just his golden locks that catch the tint of the spotlight like sunshine off a calm lake at high noon that should make you stop and take notice of Steve Dylan. Delivering smart, insightful material in a signature laid-back style, the Kingston native has carved out a name for himself as one of the brightest and funniest young comedians in Canada.
Since leaving his day job in 2005, Steve has worked with the likes of Gerry Dee, Jeremy Hotz, Harland Williams, Paulie Shore, Howie Mandel, Scott Thompson, and Tom Green, has appeared at the Halifax, and Uptown Waterloo Comedy Festivals, the Just For Laughs Festival in Toronto and Montreal, was a finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh-Off, and had his own national “Comedy Now” special air in 2011.
Steve is also an accomplished, Comedy Award-winning and Gemini-nominated writer, whose credits include CBC’s “Mr. D”, HBO’s “Funny As Hell”, “Wipeout Canada”, “The Jon Dore Television Show”, “This Hour Has 22 Minutes”, “The Canadian Comedy Awards”, “You Bet Your Ass”, “TV with TVs Jonathan Torrens”, and YTV’s hit animated series “Scaredy Squirrel” and “Almost Naked Animals”.
A talented actor with multiple film and television appearances to his name, Steve brings a consummate performer's playfulness and charm to the stage, allowing his piercing potshots through the fabric of society to be relatable and laughable to audiences across the country.
All good reasons to check out the funny and well-tinted Steve Dylan.
“… [Steve’s] clean-cut act betrayed a wickedly dark sense of humour. I’ve seen his act several times, but it always seems fresh.” - Glenn Sumi, Now Magazine
