Born and raised in the rusty streets of Welland Ontario, Doug Nagy developed his humor joking around with fellow Wellanders, and squirrels with the heart to listen.
Educated as a theologian, he soon left the ministry to preach the gospel according to the rubber chicken. Considered by some to be the funniest man without self esteem, Doug Nagy tells stories from left field that are dry, dark and absurd.
Performing in the Niagara region as a singer/songwriter since the age of 15, Doug was brought into the world of stand up comedy through the prodding of many. Performing his first set at Yuk Yuks Hamilton, he soon became friends with many of the local pros who accepted him as one of their own, and hastened his development through mentorship.
Mr. Nagy is also an accomplished podcast personality and was part of the ensemble that won the 2006 Bloggies award for Podcast Of The Year.
