ANGELO TSAROUCHAS GREEK MYTHOLOGY - TRAGEDY GREEK SALAD - DELICIOUS GREEK COMIC - FUNNY !!!

A new wave has hit the streets of Toronto. When you first meet Angelo Tsarouchas, you won't remember his name, but you will definitely remember his face! A powerhouse of attitude and character mixed with witty observations, and a Viking approach, this teddy bear of Comedy fuels the observations of life with his Ouzo powered hilarity!

So how did a guy who was born in Montreal, but grew up in Ottawa get to be so funny? "I used to make fun of the customers at my family restaurant, and then it became a habit!"

Growing up in an ethnically mixed neighbourhood of Italians, Greeks, and French people didn't hurt either. "It was a lot of fun growing up with people like I did. Especially hearing all the mothers calling their kids in at suppertime!  If you ran all the names together it sounded like a recipe for a new stew!" Now living in Toronto's Greektown, the transition is only a natural one for the burly comedian.

Angelo has been appearing at Yuk Yuk's clubs all across Canada to rave reviews, and is known as one of the "nice guys" on the circuit. As well as being in demand on the stage, Angelo has been just as busy as an Actor filming in 10 Feature films, filming "John Q" with Denzel Washington and James Woods, "The Score" with Robert De Niro and Marlon Brando as well as the comedy "Avenging Angelo" (coincidence?) starring Sylvester Stallone, filmed in Toronto. Angelo just returned from Los Angeles, where he has had repeated auditions for the critically acclaimed hit show "The Sopranos", and has also appeared in many Television Drama and Comedy shows in Canada and the U.S.

"It's definitely my attitude and look that enables me to get these great character roles in these films, as well as my comedic timing, and unexpected delivery that let's me challenge myself every time I go to do a new role," exclaims Tsarouchas. He has played everything from a Police Detective, to a Lawyer, Delivery and Mover guy, to one of his more trademark roles as a Mobster. "I have been studying hard as an Actor, but the Stand-Up allows the groundwork for the roles I get to play." Aside from performing, Angelo follows his leisure love of Cigars and Theatre, as well as getting in as many movies as he can. In the summer, he can usually be found on the Danforth "sipping a Greek coffee, and enjoying the sights and smells of the great Toronto neighbourhood. Most of my friends know where they can find me when they have to. I just enjoy people and celebrating life everyday, that's my motto." So get ready to see Angelo coming to a Theater or Comedy Club near you!
